The first production tiger

Here it is – at last. The mask is too thin, the orange too light and it doesn’t extend low enough over the wings, the face and white around the face not well defined enough, but here it is. Number one. Hopefully over the weekend I will have time to set it up with the zebras in the garden and recreate the Serengeti (except of course Tigers are not native to Africa – but hey, this isn’t a tiger it’s a plastic pigeon).

Pigeon Projector

For obvious reasons the words pigeon project have attached themselves to this project, so I took a look at what pigeonproject.com has to offer – .com being the default extension for a url. It’s already taken – which is not surprising given the runaway popularity of pigeons – and it doesn’t seem to have much to do with pigeons but some TLC has definitely been expended on it, and if you’ve got seven minutes to spare to watch people down the local pub having a go at making a film then you need to see their production Duck of Death below. I hope they make part two before too long and we find out something to do with the cure for baldness mystery.

Own a pigeon

Having had some positive responses so far, I’m making some of the finished pigeons and prototypes them available on the e-commerce site OriginalArtworks.co.uk. The basic site is up and running and as they become available I’ll post them to this site…

V3 Fulmer Street…and all stolen

Re-sited the blue and green ones along with a new yellow one, this time close to the main road. They lasted from about 10pm last night until some time before 1:30pm this afternoon, by which time they had been stolen. I always knew they would get stolen eventually but it’s sad it’s only taken about 15 hours. Maybe the council have removed them, or the police for being a distraction. But given the crappy signs that are allowed to exist at the roadside it seem unlikely the council will be so bothered as to send someone out on a Sunday, less than 24 hours after they appeared. Would the police be bothered? Are they such killjoys? Who knows, but I think it’s more likely theft. Should I report this crime?
